Healing Mind Using Unconscious Resilience Therapy™

You can experience true freedom from the bondage within your mind that prevents you from living the life you want to live. A part of that freedom begins with learning how to access the healing space within your mind and activating it.

Our minds are absolutely incredible and have healing powers. The power of the unconscious mind is one of those natural healing elements that most people dismiss. Unfortunately, there are many reasons why people dismiss the idea of the benefits of the unconscious mind such as a lack of knowledge, negative or inaccurate theatrical portrayals, negative associations to spirituality or religious beliefs and more.

The goal of this article is to provide information on my observations that rapidly accomplish life-changing results in my clients. For starters, let’s define Unconscious Resilience Therapy™. URT combines waking-trance experience with mindfulness-based parts therapy. A waking-trance experience means your eyes can be totally open, or closed, while the therapist or URT coach walks you through specific breathing patterns and guided imagery.

This allows you to access a calm and relaxing state of mind that is totally safe and you remain fully aware of what is going on. These waking-trance experiences are common in everyday life. We just never really knew that there was a term for it. For example, ever caught yourself daydreaming, driving on autopilot and arriving at your destination like you were “zoned out,” or found yourself getting wrapped up into an emotional movie or horror film experiencing it as if it were real? Those are just a few examples of waking-trance experiences.

Next, URT focuses on mindfulness. Once you have reached a state of calm and your breathing pattern has a more slowed and controlled pace, the therapist uses specific language helping you to experience the present moment. Then the thoughts, memories, and sensations that the client wants to work on are activated and focused on. Healing Mind Using Unconscious Resilience Therapy™ You are then asked to become aware of the physical sensations and images that are currently in their mind. Even if this is an anxious sensation the client is having, they are asked to focus on it in order to feel safe within that discomfort.

When the brain experiences anxiousness without the fear, it creates a new neuropathway in the brain replacing a fight or flight response. So, there are also neuroplasticity benefits to this work as well. You are guided through specific parts therapy work where the creative and imaginative parts of your mind are activated, and a self-healing journey begins.

There will be times where the coach may have dialogue during the self-healing phase, or you simply have your own internal dialogue during the parts therapy phase of the work. In other words, you begin to have dialogue with the parts that may be contributing to the dysfunction of your behavior. This dialogue includes self-compassionate language and curiosity.

Once the blocking parts are acknowledged and their story is heard, imagination and self-healing parts are activated to transform the blocking part. We go into more detail on these concepts in our book Inner Acceptance:  How to Embrace your Inner Mind and Change Your Life and our Unconscious Resilience Therapy™ Training manual for therapists and coaches.

There are times where there are layers of thoughts, images, and sensations attached to each other in our minds that when we heal one, another one may need special attention, as well.

Therefore, URT may take several sessions to peel back the layers and work on those elements one-by-one depending on the severity or impact of the experience on your life. We have found that even patients with severe forms of panic disorder can begin to experience a life without panic within 3-5 sessions.

I have clients who experience panic attacks because they think they are going to have a panic attack. Through URT they are completely free from the unwanted fear and panic. They are in control and are empowered.

We teach you how to apply self-URT at home so you can continue to grow in your mindset and live a life of harmony. Unconscious Resilience Therapy™ URT is effective for anxiety, depression, panic, co-dependency, obsessions, anger, pain and more.

When you experience and practice URT, you notice physiological changes as well. Clients who reported pain or heaviness in their chest or back, indicate feeling much lighter and better afterwards. Clients report they naturally start taking care of themselves. They start eating better, exercising more, and doing pleasurable things because they feel better.

URT gets to the root of underlying issues that block you from living the life you want and deserve to live. URT helps you to access the natural self-healing within you so you can begin to live a more joyous and purposeful life. We confidently can say you will experience a state of peace and harmony and learn how to activate self-love and self-healing that is a significant improvement in your life.

Clients must have the expectation to release and let go of the bondage of past experiences that hold them down, committed to doing the work, and committed to being open-minded about the possibilities of their self-healing journey. There is a way to transform your life. The URT approach is very effective and helps to restore a sense of worthiness, value, and purpose in your life.

If you are experiencing unwanted feelings, thoughts, or behavior and are longing to have comfort, we can help. You deserve to feel good about yourself without having to earn it. Healing is attainable. Success is attainable. Life is attainable. Let’s show you how it’s all possible!
